Insulation

Lafarge PlastaMasta Centres offer a range of insulation for residential and non-residential building systems. Insulation is ideal for use in walls, ceilings and other areas where enhanced acoustic and thermal performance is required. Using insulation helps to reduce cooling and heating costs and is an effective way to comply with the Energy Efficiency provisions in the Building Code of Australia.
Lafarge Plasterboard systems can incorporate the use of 'glasswool' or 'polyester' type insulations. Glasswool is 'Insulco Acousti-Therm' - A blanket or batt of flexible glass-fibre, bonded with resin. Polyester is 'Insulco Sound Batts (ISB)' - A blanket or batt manufactured from bonded polyester fibres.
Insulation as tested in Lafarge Plasterboard wall partition systems is manufactured by Tasman Insulation Pty Ltd, also known as 'Insulco'. Should other brands be used, a written warranty of equivalent performance should be obtained from the insulation manufacturer.
